Idaho Forest Group is a privately-owned company, based in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
IFG operates six mills in Idaho and Montana, employing more than 1,200+ team members and producing in excess of 1.2 billion board feet of lumber each year. Our mission is to enhance the lives and livelihoods of our employees, customers, partners and the communities in which we operate by providing the earth’s best renewable building products.

The Project
All of us at IFG look forward to becoming part of the Lumberton community, as we prepare to open our sawmill.
- Construction of the new sawmill began in early 2021.
- In cooperation with Pearl River Community College, we anticipate hiring skilled industrial technicians. Once the facility is operating, IFG will offer apprenticeships and internships.
- IFG seeks employees with an appetite to learn, aptitude to solve problems, and a strong work ethic. Information about specific job openings will be available later this year.
- Ultimately, IFG will employ 135 team members in Lumberton. Engineers, instrumentation, electronics, electrical and maintenance technicians, information technology specialists, human resources staff, and accounting experts will be recruited from the surrounding region.
We care deeply about the places where our employees live, work, and raise families. We are committed to being a good neighbor, great employer, and community supporter.
